Thanks to your AMAZING help, We were able to take 27 ukuleles to the island of Lesvos and implement a continuing ukulele program into the curriculum of Mosaik, a community center serving the most vulnerable population. I am so privileged to be able to teach in such a beautiful community and I can't wait to return.

I am not a teacher until I
realize that I will always be a student. I will be forever
grateful to all of the
beautiful young musicians
in the Moria, Kara Tepe
and Pikpa camps on the
island of Lesvos, who
taught me how to feel.
I will be back!!!

UPDATE!
Thank you to all who donated in 2017! I was able to take ten ukuleles and multiple sets of violin strings. I will be returning to Lesvos, Greece for June and July 2018 to teach ukulele and hopefully train a student to continue to teach new students after I return to Chicago. My goal is to take twenty ukuleles with me to Lesvos for the Mosaik community school. For more information about Mosaik and the amazing work that they are doing, follow the link below.

Santiago Spain photo by Jen Sherrill
(2015) "After my wandering across Spain to see Saint James and my tripping over my own feet through Italy on the way to Saint Peter, my husband has decided to see what all the fuss is about. As we discover the beauty of Spain and the humor of imitating Don Quixote and his trusted partner, Sancho, we will be raising funds to support GirlForward, a Chicago organization that empowers refugee girls as they begin the American chapter of their lives. We are so thankful for all of your support and are happy that you are following along!"
UPDATE!
Thank you to all who donated and helped us raise two thousand dollars to help in supporting and empowering refugee girls!!!
